ALKO IS GROWING! For that reason we need drivers.

We are not in need for people who simply call themselves drivers. We are in need of experienced personnel; personnel who knows what they are talking about when engaging in international transport activities! People who want to make an important part of a modern and a growing company.

ALKO expects from its coming drivers to have already gained complete international transport experience, independence, correct behavior and professional appearance - taking into consideration that ALKO’s drivers have constant direct contact with our customers who in fact play a crucial role for our existence!

We expect our potential drivers to have all necessary drivers’ licenses for international transport, including ADR certificate and a valid passport. Knowledge of a foreign language is highly recommended, particularly English or German. Furthermore, we may request a proof of good conduct from previous employer(s).

ALKO’s drivers normally carry out transports with several trucks & trailers combinations, therefore it is considered crucial for them to know how the equipment works. ALKO expects a lot from its drivers. The nature of the job itself is very responsible and therefore most of the drivers are very independent people with an open spirit to move further!

In our selection procedure we can clearly see if a certain applicant fits the ALKO-truck-driver position. The selection procedure contains two parts, namely:

· A job interview

· Driving test with on of our truck-trailer combinations

When the driver passes both parts, then he/she gets a contract offered which is to be signed by both parties. Furthermore the new driver gets to start working with an ALKO mentor-driver for the first month in order to be well instructed on how to become an ALKO driver. We are certainly very well aware that new drivers find this very pleasant and helpful.

ALKO’s drivers constantly receive specific information on trucks, trailers, ways of loading, driving etc., but also information on how operations in our company normally work.
