ALKO appreciates and cares about the world we all live in.

At ALKO, we commit ourselves to meet all environmental rules and regulations in the Transport & Logistics Industry (TLI). This is done through efficient management practices and decisions.

ALKO prevents pollution by striving to minimize waste generation and resources consumption.

Our management team has established achievable Environmental Performance System (EPS), meaning that we have environmental objectives which we constantly monitor in order to be capable of measuring the improvement of our performances from that perspective.

ALKO complies completely with the existing legislation as well as guidelines, requirements and recommendations issued by national and international authorities.

Our EPS focuses particularly on the following areas:

· Vehicle emission

· Fuel & energy consumption

· Equipment specification and design

· Transport of hazardous goods

· Pollution of air, water and noise

· Disposal and recycling of waste

· Staff training

Within ALKO there are no longer any Euro class 1 engines running. We have also currently concluded our Euro 3 engine purchasing policies, meaning that all future acquisitions will be focused on buying trucks with Euro 4 & Euro 5 engine technologies.
